I have decided that taking 5 minutes out of my day to relax will do a world of good for me. Relax my mind, think about whats important, and let my worries melt away. I have downloaded a few classical piano songs onto my ipod and I can't explain how much better I feel after just 5 minutes of nothing but sitting. Try it out. I suggest "Piano Music for a Fall Day" from "Relaxing Piano Music"

Summer driving

I drove home from work today, put my hair up, the windows down, the radio up, and my hand out the window and I finally enjoyed the feeling of summer.

Unexpected turn of events

After a long break from my blog, I wanted to share some updates.
I got into nursing school! I had applied once before and did not make the cut which prompted a year of grieving and unrest as I felt like I was torn from home. After being told that I was not the type of student that they were looking for, it was a great surprise and needless to say I hit the floor sobbing, this time with joy. I am starting to deal with the stress and preparations that come with this delighting news and I cant help but to admit that I need a vacation! That brings me to my next point: on a complete whim on a Friday afternoon my lifelong friend and I decided we would buy plane tickets to California. We bought them on impulse and will be traveling across the country to visit my uncle and my two friends who are there for the summer. I dont know what I was thinking. I don't have the time, the money, or the patience to plan a trip to California, but we're doing it. Live and let live I suppose. I think it will be good for me, I need some impulse in my life. I challenge you to the same. This past year has been a giant leap of faith for me and it has led me to the place that I deserve, so perhaps California can do the same. Go out without a plan, and see where you end up... you might be surprised.
